Rom-Eliaz
Dr. Rom Eliaz PhD, MBA
CEO
Dr. Eliaz is a healthcare entrepreneur, investor and a seasonal life sciences and medical device executive. Prior to joining IR-Med as CEO, Dr. Eliaz was Founder and Managing Director at Elrom Ventures, where he also served as a Managing Director at aMoon Fund. Previously, Rom was Head of Merck ventures’ Fund and Bio-Incubator in Israel where he co-founded several companies in the incubator, VP of Innovative Branded Products at Teva and CEO of NasVax (TASE: NSVX) and Immcure Therapeutics. Rom has a track record of steering companies to success, as VP of Development and Project Management at Intradigm (merged with Silence Therapeutics), VP of Product Development and Project Management at Rinat Neuroscience (acquired by Pfizer). Rom led several blockbuster drugs to market and advanced clinical trials while managing Johnson & Johnson’s investment portfolio following its acquisition of Alza. Rom served as Assistant Professor at University of California San Francisco, published over 40 scientific articles, and holds more than 10 scientific patents in the fields of drug targeting and delivery, gene therapy and tissue engineering. Rom received with honors his PhD in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the Weizmann Institute and Ben-Gurion University (BGU). His summa cum laude BSc and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology are from BGU, and he holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and Boston University joint program at BGU.
Aharon Binur
Aharon Binur
CDO- Chief Development Officer
Mr. Binur has an extensive experience in multidisciplinary technological management, including software, hardware and mechanics, development of final systems and products for the client, while maintaining high quality and international standards. Aharon has been appointed CDO of R&D to lead product development at IR-MED. Prior to joining IR-Med, Aharon served as CTO and VP of R&D at Lehavot - advanced fire protection systems. Prior to that he was a development manager and later appointed to VP of R&D and VP of products at OTI. Aharon has a unique and creative approach to technology management, including patents registered on his name. Aharon received his BSc in Electronic Engineering from the Technion - Israeli Institute of Technology.
Sharon CFO
Sharon Levkoviz
CFO
Mr. Levkoviz was appointed as CFO upon the merger of IR-Med Inc. and IR-Med Ltd. Prior to joining IR-Med, Sharon served as a Regional Manager at Achdut Israel Ltd., an Israeli company providing accounting and economic consulting services. Prior to that period, Sharon served as a Chief Controller at OTI Global, Nasdaq traded company. In addition, Sharon served ten years as a Chairman of Finance and Human Resources committee at Ohalo College and also 5 years as a director at the development company of Katzrin. Sharon is also a member of Katzrin plenum. Sharon received his CPA from Ramat Gan College and an Executive BA in Business Administration from Rupin College.
Ronnie
RONNIE KLEIN
CTO and co-Founder
Mr. Klein is a medical device and biotech expert, with a strong clinical background. He is experienced in initiating and running medical device start-up companies, including conducting clinical trials and regulatory affairs. Ronnie co-founded IR-Med and serves as a Board member of IR-Med and its Chief Technology Officer. Prior to co-founding IR-Med, Ronnie co-founded and served as CEO of Fertiligent, a start-up company focused on innovative fertility treatments, which was acquired by a United Kingdom based investment group. Prior to that, he founded PIMS, a medical device company developing infrared based diagnostic tools for diagnosing colon cancer in situ without the need for biopsies (optical biopsies). Ronnie graduated from the Faculty of Biochemical Engineering in the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Avi IRMED
Avi Vachnis
Head of SW & AI

Mr. Vachnis is a seasoned multidisciplinary R&D leader with more than 17 years of experience in designing, developing and delivering SW and HW products. Avi have a vast experience in early-stage start-ups, building full-stack SW, mobile, web, DevOps and cloud infrastructures, drives evolving design, prototypes and MVPs into a full-fledged product launch. His expertise and passion are focused on cloud solutions, highly available distributed systems, big data, AI/ML and algorithms.

Prior to joining IR-Med, Avi was a VP R&D at OUTLOCKS. He has led the company transition from an electro-mechanics outdoor locks manufacturer to a world leader access management solution provider, delivering a cloud-based platform that provides a highly secured access solution to mission critical sites and assets. Previously, Avi has led the R&D at Lumos-Global, build a globally distributed cloud platform that brings an affordable and green electricity to the ~1.3 billions living off grid. Prior to Lumos-Global, Avi joined the foundation team of CloudBand at Alcatel-Lucent, build the first NFV cloud platform that orchestrates distributed datacenters for tier-1 carriers.

Avi has a BSc in Software Engineering from Ort Braude College of Engineering, Israel.

ODED BASHAN
CHAIRMAN and co-Founder
Mr. Bashan, is an entrepreneur, innovator and executive with over 35 years of experience in managing, building and running technology companies. Oded was the Founder, Chairman & CEO of OTI, a NASDAQ traded global technology leader company with more than 250 employees, annual sales of $50 M USD, IP portfolio of over 100 patents and hundreds of millions of users. Prior to founding OTI, Oded served as the president of Electro-Galil. Oded was awarded the Leading Businessman Award in Management, Business and Economics by the Israeli Institute of Public Opinion. Oded holds both BSc and MSc in Economics and Business Management from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

YANIV COHEN
R&D Researcher & co-Founder
Mr. Cohen is an experienced electrical engineer with expertise in the fields of wave propagation and IR Spectroscopy for medical applications. Yaniv co-founded IR-Med and serves as a Board member of IR-Med and its R&D Researcher. Prior to co-founding IR-Med, Yaniv served as R&D Manager at PIMS, an Israeli medical device company, focusing on IR imaging and spectral analysis for non-invasive cancer detection and identification. Previously, he was a System engineer at Cisco and service engineer in Intel Israel for Tokyo Electron. Yaniv holds 4 patents in medical devices and co-authored 8 articles in scientific journals. Yaniv is a PhD candidate in the department of Informatics and Computer Engineering in the National Research University Higher School of Economics, School of Electronic Engineering Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE). Moscow. Russia. Yaniv holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering from Holon Institute of Technology.
Shai Katz
PROF. YESHAYAHU (SHAI) KATZ
Clinical Advisory
Prof. Katz (MD DSc) is the Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at Rambam Medical Center and he is also a Professor at the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Previously, Prof. Katz served as the Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at HaEmek Medical Center, Afula. He was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Anesthesiology at Hermann- Memorial Hospital of the University of Texas, Houston. His main area of research is the pharmacology of anesthetic agents and apoptosis of neuronal cells in the central nervous system. Prof. Katz published over 85 scientific articles, and serves on the review board of several leading scientific journals. Prof. Katz has received numerous grants and was awarded the Hershel Rich Technion Innovation Prize. Prof. Katz received his MD from Hadassah Medical School, Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He completed his residency at Rambam Medical Center and received a DSc in Medical Sciences from the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion.

Dr. Dekel (MSc, PhD), is an Electro Optics engineer with experience of over 25 years in the fields of mid IR, optical waveguides of the planar and cylindrical types based on polycrystalline silver halide mixed crystals and IR spectroscopic for medical applications. Dr. Dekel is the Head of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Ruppin Academic Center, Israel.
